Based in Boston, Fritz has more than 14 years overseeing legal affairs in the invitro diagnostics industry, with experience encompassing FDA registration, CE marking, advertising, sales, biologics, and other licensing and acquisition, compliance, clinical trials, IP and other issues faced by life sciences companies operation both domestically and globally.
Also a Partner at Outside GC, Fritz has focused on healthcare law, with extensive experience as a member of senior management advising on key strategic and organizational decisions and collaborating across functions to implement successful solutions. Prior to this, he was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Diagnostics Products Corporation (DPC), a NYSE listed, Global IVD medical device manufacturer, which was acquired in 2007 by Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc., where Fritz remained as Vice President until 2015.
Fritz began his legal career in Houston at the law firm Baker Botts LLP and also served as an attorney in the Boston offices of Goodwin Procter, LLP and Seyfarth Shaw. His broad practice has encompassed M&A, securities laws (1933 and 1934 Acts) matters, venture capital investments, fund formation, FCPA and antikickback compliance, FDA compliance, tax law, and various business ventures. Fritz earned his law degree at Harvard Law School, where he was a Teagle Foundation Scholar. Fritz is also a graduate of the University of Chicago.
